On Tuesday I launched Necromolds: Call to Arms on Kickstarter - the first official Necromolds: Monster Battles game expansion. If you've enjoyed Necromolds at all, you'll absolutely love the new expansion.

A Letter of Thanks - My Final Update

Dear Necromolds Backers,
Two years ago, I launched the Necromolds reveal video on Facebook. It was the first time anyone outside of a select few had seen what I was working on. An idea that came from a desire to build a wargame for kids and written in my notebook as "Wizards battle with clay figures to show their power!" It was one of many pivotal moments that would determine if Necromolds would succeed or fail.
The response to that video was overwhelming, and for the next three months, we gained a following that would carry us through a successful Kickstarter campaign. As a first-time Kickstarter Creator, seeing us double our campaign goal was unbelievable. When I launched the campaign, I truly had no idea if we'd even come close to reaching our ambitious goal.

If you've been following my Kickstarter updates, you know the challenges that have come between December of 2019 and today. Writing so many updates focused on repeated delays due to the pandemic was disheartening. But with your constant support and understanding, we were able to overcome all of those challenges and create something really special.

The reveal video, the Kickstarter campaign, and our successful fulfillment in the face of a pandemic were all critical moments that we succeeded in and are proud of.
We are at another critical moment... and it is by far the most thrilling because if we succeed, Necromolds will be around for years and years to come!

GenCon
Last week, I attended GenCon for the first time. It was a fantastic experience. The last convention I attended was pre-Kickstarter in 2019. That means the last public game of Necromolds I played used the 3d printed prototypes. How crazy is that?
I had the opportunity to meet and thank a number of Kickstarter backers who attended the convention - as well as show off Necomolds to a number of intrigued gamers (who then bought copies!).
I left the show feeling more excited about Necromolds than I ever have, and it really felt like an experience I'll look back on as important to the game's future.
Hopefully next year we'll have an official Necromolds booth!

You may have noticed the sweet Necromold's t-shirts I wore during GenCon. Well, they are now available on our website in a variety of sizes, including youth!

Errata Rules
It has been over a year since the first edition rulebook was locked for printing, and during that time I've been playing Necromolds in a variety of ways. We have some minor errata rules on our website which bring better balance to the game for standard and advanced players.
Our website is now open for orders in the United States. All orders ship within 48 business hours with 3 to 5 day UPS shipping (tracking included). If you're an international backer, know that we are working hard to reach a second printing that will allow us to support friendly worldwide shipping.
Inventory is limited and the state of international manufacturing/freight hasn't gotten any better. I'd estimate a restock won't be available until late Summer of 2022.
So what's next for Necromolds?
My next goal is to sell enough of our first printing to help afford the downpayment on a larger second print run. With the second print run, we'll be able to:
Warehouse inventory in the UK and EU to support international sales and fulfillment.
Support retailers at a greater scale with copies of Necromolds.
We are also hard at work developing new content for the game. I won't say too much about it at this time, but I will tell you that I'm really excited about what we're creating - and I know you're going to love it!
In 2022, we will probably run a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the second printing along with the super-secret Series 2 content we're working on. Hopefully someday Necromolds will be at a level where we can skip the crowdfunding campaign and just surprise you with new spellbooks and content! :)
I sincerely want to thank each and every one of you for the support over the last 2 years. Your excitement and belief in Necromolds (and me!) have brought us to this point... and I know that everyone who has had a hand in the creation of Necromolds shares that thanks.
I honestly believe that this campaign will have been the first major milestone in what will eventually be a household name - feared yet sought by all...

Good afternoon Necromolds backers and supporters,
We've made some big progress in freight and fulfillment over the last week! It's been a challenging year and a half of timeline delays and cost increases due to the pandemic. Overcoming these challenges has been stressful and sometimes demoralizing, but you've all had my back along the way. It feels fantastic to be sharing some good news with you!
Shipping Updates
US Fulfillment: Funagain has started fulfillment and will continue to ship out copies this week! Watch for a tracking number via email and BackerKit.
Local Pickup: Once I receive the local pickup orders from Funagain, I'll reach out to backers who chose this option to schedule a time for pickup in Minneapolis.
Canada Fulfillment: Pick n Pack Logistics is handling our fulfillment in Canada. I'm waiting for confirmation that they've received the freight and their shipping schedule. Watch our social channels or the KS comments for progress updates.
EU Fulfillment: Surfin Meeple is scheduled to begin fulfillment this week. Watch for tracking numbers to be emailed and added to BackerKit.
UK Fulfillment: To be Brexit compliant, freight has been forwarded from the EU into the UK to our fulfillment partner Zatu. We're waiting to learn more about the progress of the freight and when Zatu should expect to receive it. Watch our social channels or the KS comments for progress updates.
China/Asia Fulfillment: Surfin Meeple has shipped all pledges. Tracking numbers have been emailed and added to BackerKit.
AU/NZ Fulfillment: Aetherworks has shipped all pledges. Tracking numbers have been emailed and added to BackerKit.
That's it for shipping! By the end of next week, I am hopeful that 95% of our backers will have their copies of Necromolds in hand or on the way!

Over a year ago, I submitted the final Necromolds rulebook for manufacturing. I've smashed a ton of monsters since then, and have designed a few important rule updates which make the game more enjoyable for advanced players. US Shipping
Our cargo ship arrived at the port in LA on June 21st. As of this morning, our ship is finally being unloaded! Once unloaded, our cargo will take a train to Chicago and a truck to our warehouse in Indianapolis.

EU Shipping
In early June, a port closure due to Covid in China delayed our EU shipment from leaving port. Our fulfillment team worked hard to book a new voyage and I’m happy to report that the cargo is now moving across the ocean.

AU/NZ Shipping
Our Australian and New Zealand shipments are preparing for fulfillment. The team is confirming order information and address formatting. Once they ship, I’ll be receiving tracking information for each order which will be made available to each backer via BackerKit.
