How many players is Necromolds?
The Necromolds Battle Box is designed for two-players - but nothing about the rules system limits the game to two-players. With each extra set of command dice and clay, another player can join in the battle!
In games with more than two players, players may be required to share distance tools or combat dice. During the game, no more than two people are ever using these components at once, so sharing does not affect gameplay.
Note that each additional player adds around 10 minutes to the total playtime. The playtime can be reduced by having players begin the game with less clay. The small battle map ensures that combat and engagment will happen fast, however.

How long does the clay last?
On average, the clay lasts 8 full 40-minute games before it needs to be refreshed with a few drops of water. Once refreshed, the clay can be used for a few more games. Once you find refreshing the clay doesn’t make it easier to handle, it’s time to mold your favorite monsters and let them dry out!

Can I use any soft clay?
Yes! Necromolds works great with many brands of soft clay. My favorite 3rd party clays are Play-Doh and Sargent Art Dough. One of the key reasons behind the game’s 3oz clay size was the availability and low cost of 3rd party clays.
You can also purchase clay in larger quantities and use a little at a time. In Necromolds, it’s most important that each player uses the same volume of clay. When starting with an odd volume, it’s recommended to use a large monster mold like Insectoite to measure out matching volumes. Each player just makes an equal quantity of the same monster.

Can I dry and paint the clay?
Yes! There are soft art clays like Sargent Art Dough that work excellent for both playing, drying, and painting. The clay included dries pretty well too! So when it begins to harden, you can just make your favorite monsters and let them dry!
Once the product is released, we’ll post a list of our favorite 3rd party clays.

What is the game board made from?
Necromolds’ game board is a high quality, heavy-duty board with matt and UV spot finish - similar to what you’d find in high-end board games.
Playing with the clay on the game board has not damaged the board or left residue on the board in any way. Testing and choosing a proper game board material has been focused on during Necromolds’ development.

What is the difference between Basic, Standard, and Advanced play?
The Basic ruleset is intended for young children 5-9 years of age. The focus of this ruleset is to get young children playing with and smashing monsters in an extremely lite wargame that relies heavily on luck and removes most decision making. In these rules, all monsters are treated as having the same stats and more complex mechanics like gems, nature, and terrain are removed.
The Standard ruleset is intended for children ages 10-12. It is very similar to the full Advanced ruleset featured in our overview video, but does not include monster nature.
The Advanced Ruleset includes everything shown in our full playthrough and gameplay overview videos. The Advanced ruleset also includes a list of optional “in-the-weeds” wargaming rules that some players may enjoy. Rules about partial cover, attacking from behind, and more.
Although Necromolds’ lite wargaming ruleset is fun as presented, we encourage players to expand the game in ways they’d like through home rules! Once the game has launched, our website will feature an area where fans can share their favorite home rules.

Can I download the rulebook?
Although the rules have been fully playtested and are locked-in, the rulebook itself is still in the design and layout phase. If we finish it prior to the campaign end, we will make it publicly available for download as a PDF. Otherwise, we will send out a link post-campaign.
In the meantime, please check out the overview and full playthrough videos featured on the Kickstarter page - and if you have any questions ask in the comments section.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
